Huawei Mate X2

The next-generation Huawei folding phone will reportedly have the codename Teton and will have a display on the interior instead of the exterior as it did with the original Mate X. There’s not much else known about this phone, but it may be announced in October 2020.

Samsung Galaxy S21

Featuring an integrated camera housing in the top corner of the back, Samsung’s Galaxy S21 could be a bit cheaper than its predecessor. Rumours suggest the S21 will be released in January or February 2021, with a 6.2-inch flat display. A larger S21+ is expected alongside the S21.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

We expect Samsung’s next-generation smartphones to launch in February 2021, have big batteries and big megapixel cameras, and have Exynos’ next-gen 5nm processors. Recently, a design with a massive rear camera housing was leaked, revealing a fresh new design for the next generation.

LG Velvet 2

LG is expected to release the Velvet 2 update in March 2021, which will be powered by updated Snapdragon 700 series hardware. It is expected to be announced at Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit. Little else is known about the phone, but we expect an incremental update.

OnePlus 9, 9 Pro and 9E

The OnePlus 9 is likely to be released in spring 2021. OnePlus has been pretty regular about releasing its devices, and it should be released shortly after that. Renders of the OnePlus 9 Pro have surfaced, making it look a lot like the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. Rumours suggest the OnePlus 9, the 9 Pro and perhaps an affordable model called the OnePlus 9E.

Nokia 9.3 PureView

There have been rumors of a new flagship phone for more than a year, but no sign of the device has surfaced. Nokia was previously said to host an event in November to launch new devices, and the Nokia 9.3 PureView might be on the list, but no leaks have emerged in some time – and recently, a leaked document has hinted at the Nokia 10. We now suspect a February update.

Xiaomi Flip Phone

There is speculation that Xiaomi will source folding components from Samsung Display, despite the company showing off a number of folding prototypes in the past. In addition to some code in MIUI hinting at a folding phone, Xiaomi is believed to be interested in producing a folding phone similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.
